Does your fridge know you’re hungry? Does your shirt know how you feel? Does your car talk to you? No, you’re not going crazy. This is the IOT revolution. IOT is the internet of things, it’s a technology that connects almost everything you can think of to the internet. From clothing, cars, infrastructure, medical devices, you name it.
IoT devices have a significant impact on many aspects of our lives and we have started living in smart world including how we live, drive, and farm animals and crops.
IoT is giving the sense to senseless object. It is changing a way of business. We can monitor every part of any machine remotely. No need to send engineer physically to see the fault. Before reaching site engineer know what is fault and carry the part to replace.
1.Self-aware and Self-diagnosing Devices
New artificial intelligence has helped our everyday devices to become self-aware. Not in that horror “It’s not alive!” Way, but more in a way self-reporting.
2.Platform Independence
Utility products such as washing machines, air conditioners, refrigerators, coffee makers, etc will become controllable with smartphones, voice commands, web platforms, and smart wearables. This feature will apply to all those devices that have switches installed into them. Also, the platform will eventually get standardized, allowing manufacturers to develop smart products that can communicate across brands.
3.IoT Enabled Entertainment Systems
Users will now be able to stream music from any corner of their home; also, different music can be played from different rooms. And if that’s not all, the music systems will work with the lights and blinds to create the perfect mood for listeners.
4.A Better World with IoT
With the help of IoT, our homes will now be smart enough to optimize energy utilization. Occupancy sensors are now able to identify when there’s no human in the room and turn off the lights and AC; light intensity is also being monitored and controlled now.
Internet of Senseless Things
Adrenaline Dress
Intel appears (for the first time) an energy-giving body chemical dress that can understand stress levels based on the skin (the ability to let the electric current go) at the 2016 Person (who uses a product or service) electronic show is. Smart dress expands when it represents an increase in stress levels in a fashion in almost the same way as a bug (related to attack-protecting actions) (machine/method) when it is threatened by danger. Be able to Although the dress represents an overall useful score of zero, it represents a (very simple / long ago) predictor for future smart computer programs. Early models of smart fashion such as these are on display for viewing (changes, for unusual things, etc.) internal (related to the body function of living things) such as body heat, sweating, and breathing. Users can use these data points to improve their health and (way of life).
Vessyl – The Cup That Knows Its Contents
is a digital cup that can detect the amount of calories, (medicine that gives you energy), and sugar in a drink. Smart Cups are paired with an app that can also estimate a user’s water intake based on / on their water intake and send them a reminder to be filled with water is. Newspapers, web sites and TV have not noticed this smart cup as a good-helper / helpful way. Stephen Colbert mocked the useless nature of the product, stating that store-bought drinks are already labeled feature (related to vitamins, proteins, etc.). Anyway, Vecil is on to something. Vessil can track the contents of homemade drinks (related to vitamins, proteins, etc. in the food), without requiring / ordering user input. This feature enables users to collect personal data points without disrupting their day-to-day tasks.
The Smart Cup is taking advantage of (/ is making money from) the ‘quantified self’ growing (popular thing / things going on in the usual way). ‘Quantified Self’ improves one’s performance and emotional well-being, along with digital self-watching and following personal data such as food intake and sleep quality. The unit represents just a sample of smart objects, hoping to embed themselves to help their bodies with bio-improvement (as much as possible) in the daily-normal tasks of their bodies.
Smart Refrigerator
The smart refrigerator has been available to purchase as early as the year 2000, and due to its high cost and lack of utility, is an IoT example that is not quite useful. Smart refrigerators can be reduced to a non-fighting authority (or related to huge, significant changes) touch panel LCD display that can stream TV, display weather, and perhaps as a messenger Works – Complete all the features that an Ipad can do (in a way that produces a lot with very little waste).
Samsung’s new family hub refrigerator is hoping to regain the missed opportunity. Its new line of refrigerators has internal cameras that can feed live (secretly recording / watching) videos of food items directly to the user’s phone. With the ability to control other IoT smart home features such as food delivery services and lighting (with the ability to make money from / leverage), Samsung may just crack into the smart refrigerator market.
Bluetooth Toothbrush
The internet is already distracting because it is not, so you are not used to doing something productive (object or task that interferes with mental stress)? Oral B is also trying to do the same with its new Smart Series Bluetooth toothbrush. For $ 200, you can now secure / make sure you spend the right amount of time and apply the right amount of pressure on your daily oral (keeping yourself / something clean) (usually done something goes). Users can read distracting articles on their smart phones while they brush their teeth to ensure that they bring their own (something usually done) to completion.
Even though a large portion of the IoT market share / sector will consist of healthcare, businesses / projects and factories, Oral B’s Bluetooth toothbrush represents B2T manufacturers who seek to participate in the IoT promotion. Manufacturers willing to participate in IoT will do many similar (bold or daring tasks), replaying simple and boring, non-sexy items with Internet connectivity.
There will more miracle is coming up in the near future which will show the power of IoT and its usefulness. I am sure this will also bring big security issues, which I will try to cover in our next blog.
Till then!!
Happy Reading!!
