How IoT works?
There are four components of the Internet of Things
1. Sensors / Devices
2. Connectivity
3. Data Processing
4. User Interface
Now let’s take an example of a RO Water purifier we use at our home. Now, RO company wants to know the status of each installed RO to monitor water quality ,water quantity and for proactive maintenance and remote services.
So, how will this work out? Let’s see.
1. Water purifier company will install couple of sensors in Water Purifier System.
2. The Sensor will connect with the home WiFi
3. Using the home Wifi, sensors will send data to cloud at set intervals.
4. There will be one GUI (Web Page) which will display results of each purifier installed remotely.
5. Based on threshold Value it will send alert to Maintenance team.
6. If Purifier Billing is based on water consumption then the bill will also be calculated based on data provided by purifier.
An IOT Enabled water purifier that can be operated from anywhere, at any-time through a Mobile app.
Provides real-time health of the machine, Input & Output TDS level in water, daily consumption, water temperature, etc.
Things we can do using Mobile app.
1. We can select specific temperature of water which we want.
2. We can select specific volume we are looking for
3. We can dispense water using phone with volume and temperature.
One way to utilize the IOT technology effectively in purifier system is by renting the smart water purifier and allowing the user to pay as per their usage, without worrying about the quality of water and maintenance of the purifier. This approach is win-win situation for the user as well as for the company. This system will be extremely safe, durable and very economical.
