IoT can be considered in different way but as per my knowledge this is not very straight forward. If we think unconventionally then below is my knowledge.
- You will be surprised to know desktop, Laptop, Tablet and Smartphone are not IoT device. These can be used as a User Interface to see the result or act.
- As per my understanding, IP enabled device are not considered IoT devices.
- Anything which requires human interaction is not under the IoT system. We need to automate its end to end with no requirement of human action.
- If you are not using Sensors in your project, then it is not considered as an IoT project.
- Here in case of IoT machine takes the decision and not human.
- If your communication is Synchronous, then it should not be considered an IoT element.
- In IoT, we should always try to make Asynchronous Communication because with Synchronous connection we will not be able to handle the load.
- Monitoring any device is not IoT, it should also have the capability to recover automatically from any fault 70% of the time.
- If you are not considering IoT security seriously, then please do not try to implement IoT otherwise it will lead you into a big mess.
- Please do not implement IoT just for the sake of implementation. We should identify the biggest pain points and gains (productivity, experience, cost reduction, speed, etc.) that are expected from the solution. Re-imagine processes, policies, and teams. Start with a clean sheet and ask what you could do if you had the data. Then ask your teams, customers, suppliers, and channel partner.
I may not be right on many points but this is my personal thought which you should work on before going for an IoT implementation.

My brother suggested I may like this web site. He used to be totally right.
This submit actually made my day. You can not consider
just how a lot time I had spent for this information! Thanks!
